The antique furniture in the Amelia room added a beautiful vintage charm that greatly enhanced our stay.
We experienced issues with the breakfast service, as some items we ordered were not provided.

satisfactory stay but room for improvement
The garden view was a lovely sight each morning, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The antique furniture added a touch of charm that felt inviting and warm. The staff member was polite and tried to help despite the owner's discourteous demeanor.

Both lovable and frustrating
Rose and Terry provided a warm welcome and shared captivating stories which set a lovely tone for our stay. The Amelia Room featured a clawfoot bath overlooking the gardens, adding a touch of luxury.
Breakfast timing was rigid with limited options, and room cleanliness was a concern, with stained carpet and linen. The historic charm felt overshadowed by upkeep issues, compromising overall experience.

The open tower room had dust issues, but the Jessie suite was quite spacious.

I stayed in the F.O. Henry Queen Room for one night. The room was spacious, which was nice, but the bed was super soft—maybe too soft for some. The bathroom felt basic, and not in a charming way. It could really use an update. Breakfast was average, and good luck getting enough coffee. It's an old house, so it has its quirks, but it felt a bit rundown overall.

What a unique experience! The beautifully preserved vintage look of the furnishings added charm, and the homemade breakfast with fresh compote was delightful. Just a heads up, some rooms might feel a bit dark, but overall, I'd absolutely recommend it!

The Amelia room featured impressive high ceilings with antique decor reflecting the period. Morning meals ranged from cereal to fruit, all served on a nicely set breakfast table that complemented the historic vibe of the place.
Unfortunately, the wallpaper in the Amelia room was peeling, which gave off a neglected impression. The portable heater's cord heated up excessively, raising safety concerns, and the overall feel of the house leaned towards shabby rather than charming. You also shouldn’t expect a bar at the property, contrary to what’s mentioned, which felt like a letdown for anyone wanting to unwind after a day of exploring.

During our two-night stay, I particularly liked the lovely old furnishings that added historical charm to our experience. While we found the breakfast offerings to be simple, we enjoyed the nice setup on the breakfast table. I did feel that the lack of a door between the bedrooms in the Jessie Two-Bedroom Suite was a bit inconvenient for privacy when traveling with another couple.

Room was spacious, very charming. Breakfast setup looked nice but choices were limited, didn't cater well to early guests. Wi-Fi issues made it tough to plan activities.
